The Blah! Party is gathering momentum with thousands of people visiting the web site every day and membership numbers growing fast.
Several members have kindly offered to help us here at Blah! HQ, and have been busy with stickers, posters, online banners, canvassing on the streets and much, much more.
Here are your Blah! Party Representatives for the area of:
West Yorkshire
Name: James Proctor
Place: Bradford
Occupation: Student
Profile: Greetings. I'm a student at the peace studies department at Bradford University. I'm an ex national champion at the mighty athletics discipline of Power Walking, and I now get paid to play football. I'm also a vegan, which some would see as a hindrance for an athlete... not so. Now, why am I part of the Blah! revolution? Well, I'm afraid that the age of heckling and polarised politics is no more. There's no room for political parties that are trying to find a new base on an uneven ground. Ground based movements are needed to reinvigorate the political environment that we live in. The Blah! Party gives us the chance to reclaim the power for ourselves, instead of having it given away by unaccountable leaders.
Name: Graeme Hill
Place: Todmorden, West Yorkshire
Occupation: Development Worker
Profile:I develop sport and physical activity opportunities for people with disabilities in the borough of Rochdale. I have been politically active since the age of 16. Don't like Thatcher or the consequences of her, but did in fact enjoy the fact that there was confrontation and a better understanding of what the parties represented. I detest the middle ground stuff and the keeping the middle class happy thing in current day politics and find it all very unfortunate how politically unaware we are. I would like to see compulsory voting, a greater distribution of wealth and stronger measures taken on reducing cars and getting people out walking or cycling on the roads again. Get people outside talking to each other and stop being so bloody selfish!
