First Blah! candidate for election18.04.07

The local elections take place on 3 May and, excitingly, we have a candidate standing in the Thornton and Allerton district of Bradford. Carl Finlan is 33, married with a 6 week old daughter, and feels strongly about housing, crime and the environment – amongst other things! We'll be campaigning in the area over the next few weeks, so if you live in Bradford and can lend a hand, please email us at Blah! HQ. We'd REALLY appreciate your help!

“Why only Bradford?” I hear you cry! Well we only launched the party back in September, so we decided to concentrate our energies on just one place this time around so as not to spread ourselves too thinly. And as it's the home of our sponsor Seabrook Crisps it seemed the natural choice.

District councillors are the bridge between the community and the council – they represent their ward and the people living in it. Many people don't bother to vote in the local elections because they believe there's no point. But political deceit starts at this level so this is where the protest vote first comes into action. So if you live in the Thornton and Allerton ward of Bradford, vote Carl Finlan on 3 May.

Politics isn't working. The only sensible is a protest vote!

Blah! to British weather

There’s no denying that things are warming up a bit now that spring has just about sprung! But after months of wind and wet, we’re all ready for some less typical British weather. Nineteen year old Andy Stevens from Whitby will be going to the extreme on this and taking the Blah! Party abroad. He’s the lucky young chap who’s won our competition and will enjoy a holiday for two worth £7,500, courtesy of our sponsor Seabrook Crisps. A loyal Seabrook Crisps fan, Andy joined the Blah! Party by texting Blah! to 83010 after reading about it on the back of his favourite sea salted crisps. He’s never been abroad before so he’s taking some time to wade through piles of holiday brochures. Oh well Andy, the world’s your oyster! Happy holiday!
